An all-day course to be held on Sunday 17th August and Wednesday 22nd .October offered by Lyn and Pete Armstrong. Designed to introduce the walker to navigation and map skills that should increase his/her confidence on the Lake District hills in all weather conditions.

- A Map will be provided, but your own OS.1:25,000 Lake District NW sheet would be useful too.

- Bring a compass; a Silva Type 4 with a roamer is best.

- Boots, waterproofs and lunch are essential as we'll be covering quite a bit of ground during the day.

- If you have a GPS bring that too, though it's not important.
